RM Engineered is the product development division of Retrospect Motorworks.
Retrospect Motorworks was founded in 2020 as a classic car dealership, restoration shop, storage facility, and showroom based in Houston. What started as a place to buy, build, and care for enthusiast vehicles has grown into a space that brings people together—housing a rotating collection of classic cars and serving as a venue for automotive gatherings, private events, celebrations, and corporate experiences.
At the core of it all is hands-on work. We spend our time sourcing, restoring, maintaining, and driving a wide range of analog-era cars. While we’ve always had a strong appreciation for platforms like the BMW E30, our focus has never been limited to a single marque—it’s about the experience of these cars as a whole.
Over time, another reality set in. Many of the parts these cars rely on simply aren’t made anymore—or if they are, they’re hard to find, inconsistent in quality, or buried somewhere deep in an eBay listing you’ve been refreshing for the third time that day.
So we got creative.
What started as solving problems in-house turned into a bigger idea: build components that make these cars easier to live with—bringing in the subtle comforts of modern technology without taking away the character that makes them special.
By 2026, that process became RM Engineered—a dedicated effort to develop and produce components that improve how these cars look, feel, and function, while staying true to their original spirit.
Every product is designed, tested, and refined in-house at Retrospect Motorworks. Our background in restoration, fabrication, and real-world use shapes every decision—we don’t design in isolation, and we don’t release anything we wouldn’t run on our own cars.
This isn’t mass-produced aftermarket.
It’s the result of years spent working on these cars—and building the parts we wish existed.
